What We Don’t Do

• We do not collect your personal information unless you choose to give it to us.
• We do not gather any identifiable information about you from browsing our website.
• We do not sell or share your personal information with advertisers.
• We do not keep user accounts or passwords.
• We do not fingerprint or track your activity across websites.
• We do not retarget or remarket pixels to advertise to you on social media platforms.

Cookies

Website analytics are collected anonymously with the use of Google Analytics 4 (GA4). GA4 sets cookies to track sessions, collecting data about pages visited, time spent on the site, referrer, device and browser information, and approximate location (country/city). This data is anonymous, and no personally identifiable information is sent to Google or Lettermatic. You can opt out via your browser settings or Google’s opt-out extension.

GA4 cookies are the only cookies set by lettermatic.com.

Purchases

Your email address is collected at checkout when purchasing a font license or downloading a test font.

We use Stripe as the payment provider for our site. Stripe is responsible for the personal information it collects, and may set its own cookies for fraud prevention. Payment card details are entered directly into Stripe’s embedded form, and Lettermatic never sees, stores or processes your credit card data.

Order records (including email, product, date, and amount) are stored in Firebase Firestore.

Email

Transactional emails, such as order confirmations and download links, are sent via Mailchimp. Mailchimp receives the customer’s email address and order details for this purpose.

When you sign up to receive newsletter emails from Lettermatic, we share your email address with Mailchimp. This newsletter is separate from transactional emails, and opt-in only. We do not send you marketing emails without your prior consent. You may opt out of receiving any of these communications by following the unsubscribe link provided in any email we send.

Mailchimp tracks email opens and clicks in both transactional and newsletter emails.

Data Storage and Retention

We use Firebase Firestore to store collected data, including order records, number of downloads from transactional emails, and shared font preview settings. No browsing behavior or personal data is stored in Firebase.

• Order records are kept indefinitely in Firebase Firestore for license verification.
• Analytics data storage is governed by Google’s retention settings, which is 14 months by default.
• Newsletter subscriber data is kept by Mailchimp until the user unsubscribes.

Third Parties

We use several third-party services to improve your experience using our website. Lettermatic does not share your personal data with any third parties, except as expressly stated in this policy.

We currently use the following third-party services:

User Rights

At any time, you have the right to request to access, change or delete any personal information we hold about you. This includes your email address and purchase records. To request access, please contact info@lettermatic.com.

You have the right to opt out of analytics collection, via your browser settings or Google’s opt-out extension.

You have the right to unsubscribe from all marketing emails, via the unsubscribe link included in every email.
